Welcome to Jackson

Jackson School is in rural Northwest Indiana and is one of five elementary schools in the Duneland School Corporation. There are approximately 360 students in grades K-4 attending Jackson Elementary. The Jackson community is located near Chesterton and Valparaiso Indiana. The Indiana toll road runs through the township and a South Shore railroad station is only 5 miles away, providing easy access to Chicago, a popular recreational and cultural center for many Jackson families. The Indiana National Lakeshore and Indiana Dunes State Park are also only about 5 miles away and serve as recreational and educational resources for the community.
